Katherine comes up with a plan
to strengthen her relationship with Nikolas

She instructs their secretary to summon Stefan
to the office and make a lunch date with Liz (brat).

Katherine asks Stefan to take a look at some drawings
for a new add campaign she is beginning

She would like his opinion
 

After getting a call to meet Nikolas in his office,
Stefan finds Katherine in his office.  He tells her will wait outside

Katherine tells him she could use
his opinion on the new ad campaign

To say he doesn't like them is an understatement
Katherine tells him she plans to use Nikolas as the model.

He has a word for her.... bewilderment

Katherine tells him that's it too bad he doesn't
like any of them she plans to use Nikolas as the model

As Stefan reacts to her suggestion
Nikolas walks in at just the wrong moment
 
 
 

Stefan reacts predictably to that suggestion
Meanwhile Nikolas has arrived and over hear their row.
Katherine is conveniently defending him while Stefan looks controlling
 

Nikolas asserts his independence

Stefan realizes he has been manipulated.
 

Realizing he has been manipulated
he tells Nikolas if he should care to
hear the truth he knows how to find him
 
 

Nikolas tells Katherine the distance
between them has not been her fault

Things heat up but as usual Nikolas forgets to lock his door

Elizabeth walks in on the passionate moment
Upset, she leaves and Nik soon follows her.

Katherine and Laura face off

Nikolas learns from Liz that his office arranged for
the lunch date.  Angry he tells Katherine he quits

He leaves in a huff telling Katherine it's over
